Laurie B. Kazenoff is a New York tax attorney and former IRS Senior Tax Attorney with over 30 years of experience including eight years with the Internal Revenue Service. From 1987 to 1988, Ms Kazenoff was an IRS Estate and Gift Tax attorney, auditing both federal estate returns and gift tax returns. From 1988 to 1995, Ms. Kazenoff became a Senior Tax Attorney with the IRS Office of Chief Counsel representing the IRS in litigation before the United States Tax Court, in addition to advising the Examination and Collection Divisions, and rendering tax opinions.

In 1995, Ms. Kazenoff opened her own private tax law practice. During 2006 - 2007, she was a Senior Tax Manager for tax controversy with the accounting firm of Anchin, Block & Anchin, LLP in Manhattan. She continues to conduct her private practice in tax controversy in Huntington, New York. Ms. Kazenoff has an Honors B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania (1982), a J.D. from Temple University School of Law (1985), and completed her LL.M. (Taxation) from Temple University School of Law at New York University School of Law (1989). Ms. Kazenoff is admitted to practice in New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and before the U.S. Tax Court.
Ms. Kazenoff's practice concentrates in IRS and New York State tax controversies including Examinations, Appeals, Tax Court litigation, Collection actions including addressing IRS Notices of Lien, Levies and New York State warrants, Collection Due Process and Equivalency Hearings. Ms. Kazenoff has represented high profile and high net worth individuals and entities in investment banking, law, real estate, medicine, entertainment, fashion, media, construction, manufacturing, sports and technology involving all types of Federal and New York State tax issues. Her practice also includes Employee plan benefits and tax consulting, Estate and Gift tax planning, Partnership and Corporate tax issues, Responsible Person/Trust Fund Liability cases, New York State Residency issues and Sales and Use tax issues. Ms. Kazenoff handles ERISA cases, including pension plan qualification issues and IRS and Department of Labor Pension and Welfare Benefits Administration investigations regarding pension plan compliance.
